The team believe in delivering traditional locally sourced produce, freshly cooked, daily. Provenance and seasonality are key elements in formulating the menu.
The steak offering includes Châteaubriand, and Côte de boeuf for 2 to share, and on Sunday the meats we serve are roasted throughout the day to ensure freshness and quality, hence being awarded The Best Sunday Roast in the UK 2012.
There is a weekly program of events (please check when you book), usually including, Monday Club, Thursday’s Steak Night and the very popular Friday Night Tapas.
The peaceful, established garden is large and ideal for wiling away lazy summer afternoons, and in the winter the roaring fires and comfortable chairs make it a cosy place to relax in. Awarded Inn of the year by Les Routiers in 2013.
Come and join us for Happy Hour on Monday to Saturday 3pm – 6pm. Heineken, Amstel & Doombar £4.25, 175ml House Red, White or Rose £4.75.

Andrew & Sisi Ryder
With extensive experience in the hotel, restaurant and pub sector, Andrew and Sisi Ryder have transformed this venue into an established home of great food & wine whilst maintaining the local, friendly atmosphere. Andrews familiar voice will be heard on a Sunday for the weekly meat raffle, raising fund for good causes and over the festive period The Phoenix Inn hosts a Christmas sing along and the Vintage Sports Car Club meetings and events.
Ales & Wine
The range of ales is carefully sourced to complement the seasons, and has been Cask Marque accredited. A very comprehensive wine list with at least 16 wines available by the glass, a Fine Wine section, and a stunning house wine completes every dining experience.
Dogs & Kids
Both are welcome at The Phoenix Inn. Bring your dogs with you to the garden or bar area, but please keep them on a lead. Just ask the bar staff for water bowls.
Well behaved children are welcome too, but please respect the other diners and ensure that they remain seated within your family bubble at all times. We don’t have room in our restaurant for buggies or pushchairs, but car seats are welcome. I’m afraid we do not have baby changing facilities or highchairs, so do please bring your own if possible.
Parking
We have extensive parking (front and rear).
